How fast is too fast for Jet Ski tubing?
Yesterday me and a bunch of friends went jetskiing and decided to take the tube out (holds 2-3 people). Our Jet Skis run maybe 65mph for your avg weight adult. A few people got hurt slamming into the water, probably because we were going too fast.
So how fast is too fast for tubing? We decided to stop tubing mid-day and never figured it out. I'm sure there's some kind of safety guidelines with tubes, but I can't find any online, and I'm sure tubing can be a lot more fun without people getting demolished.

the tubes will tell you that 20 MPH is as fast as you should go but it really depends on the driver. Going straight and fast is no big deal. Add lots of s turns and figure 8's, and a few boat wakes thrown in and speed can kill. Usually your speed wont be constant if you are doing all the turns. I'd say between 25-40 would be right. The main thing is the driver should watch around the turns and let off the throttle when activity starts to happen... flipping, getting air.... stuff like that.
