If my finger is numb after my wound closed up, is it a sign of infection or sign of healing?
i had a deep cut on my finger several days ago, and i kept it pressured to stop from bleeding. after bleeding stop, i had it soked underneath a bandage with a ton of neosporin in it.
after about 2 to 3 days, i took it off, the wound closed up. people were telling me that i should've gotten stitches but too late now. the wound looks perfectly dry.
around the wounded area its kinda dark pinkish but not that much different from my skin color, and its a bit swollen, but not so round, and its kinda numb(just the area around where the original wound was)
i don't see any pus comming out, the area where its swollen is actually kinda numb and hardened up rather than itching or hurting. it kinda hurts if i tap it or hit it of course.
is this a good sign or a bad sign?
im a student so ican't afford to goto the doctor 
the numbness is probably your nerves. if it was a really deep cut, the nerves need to heal too.
