No more Old Navy Womens Plus line?
When I discovered Old Navy had a Womens Plus section in thier stores I was thrilled. I thought, finally, I can try on
affordable clothes on before I buy them. I felt like I was through
paying shipping charges upon shipping charges because I had no other place to go then online to purchase clothes.
To my dissapointment, I traveled an hour to get to Old Navy only to find that the Womens Plus section
was removed. I felt so angry, let down, and discriminated against, once again.
When the average womens size is 14, why do they remove the womens plus line from thier stores? When so many girls and women do not fit into (or want to fit) into a size 2, why do they remove the womens plus line?
Right when I felt like to belonged in society a little more
becuse I was able to find clothes with ease, I am pulled right back out of my excitment because of thier decision to remove the womens plus line.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Been there done that....and I have the same question. I have recently re-discovered Lane Bryant stores. They have great jeans & tops etc that don't look like "fat girl" clothes. And if you watch you can catch some really great deals there as well. The last 4 pair of great jeans I have purchased have been from there....I watch for sales and in their clearance area (always in the back corner of the store). I got a pair of jeans for $13 that normally sells for $65 last time I stopped in. And they look "cool" according to my girls! I have also found really cute clothes at Fashion Bug plus, although they are a bit priceier.
Why is it when you are above a size 14 people think you have no taste in clothes anymore? I hate round neck & boat neck shirts....not to mention stripes & "grandma" prints. Have you noticed that if a store has a plus size dept that's all they have? (Like Kmart & Walmart) And why can't I purchase a cute jacket or coat at a resonable price? You would think manufactureers and buyers would recognize who their buyers really are......and that they would get more money sizing for Moms as well as their daughters....
Hang in there...someday they will figure it out. The trick for now is to find great places and tell others....
