Is digital photography considered a hobby as well as an art and craft?
I like to use photo's of friends i know and create a photo album just for that person. And give it to them. I am creating a photo album for my aunt. Obviously i have photos of her on a cd that I got to go and get
the photos printed out. I go and get a photo album that fits their personality and than use the resources i have to create a photo album.
For example my aunt's photo album, i bought a album that has a beach like theme to it. I know she loves the sunshine. So I am thinking of using the photo's I already have Print them out, create what I want to create for her. It's just based on her only no one else. I'm not looking into making a profit out of what I like to do. I'm giving people I know something to remind them selves of important stuff
in their life. And if its a soon to be graduate, i take the photos of them before graduating from High school and use the photo's to create a meaning full gift, that they will cherish.
Digital photography is now the mainstream and covers everything from hobbyists / happy-snappers all the way to professional photographers and artists.
Film photography is very much a niche now and is largely used by serious amateurs, enthusiasts / collectors of old cameras and artists. Very few professionals still use film these days.
