can my dog like certain music ..?
sometimes when i want to have a nap i play some music off my laptop and get my dog jake to come lie on the bed with me. sometimes he just sits there wagging his tail watching me but ive noticed when i put on a slow song especially this one by Bon Iver- Beach Baby, he lays down almost right away and shortly after, fall asleep and just seems really subdued for the rest of the time. Do dogs respond to music like humans do?
I think they do.
However, he could also have developed an association between that particular music and your nap activities. If you always play a certain kind of music when you nap he may have come to perceive it as a cue that it's nap time.
