How to say "We used to have a pool table but we sold it" in Spanish?
This is for my coursework. My Argentinian friend translated it as 'Mi dormitorio tuvo una enorme tabla de pool pero era tan grande que la vendimos'. I'm not sure if it's totally right in formal Spanish. Please only answer if you're sure it's correct.
Thanks.
Oh, I'm sorry I meant to say "We used to have a pool table -in my bedroom- but we sold it"
and I also meant to add that it was because it was too big. Sorry about that.
Teníamos una mesa de billar pero la vendimos...nowhere does it say it was in your bedroom (dormitorio), or that you sold it because it was too big...and "table" is certainly not "tabla" in Spanish...
edit: ok, in that case... "Teníamos una mesa de billar en el dormitorio pero la vendimos"
edit: alright then..."Teníamos una mesa de billar en el dormitorio pero la vendimos porque era demasiado grande"
